Roquecor

Café du Centre – (we recommend) (about 10 km from Las Razes)

Outside of Roquecor

Chateau de L’Hoste – Typical French food – very expensive but you are paying for the lovely surroundings and service. 05 63 95 25 61

Miramont de Quercy

Auberge de Miramont   Phone : 05.63.94.65.57 (we recommend) (about 4km from Las Razes)

This restaurant offers pleasant and good meals (regional specialties such as : jambon de pays, foie gras, crayfish flambés, stuffed snails, croustade of the Quercy, cèpes, confit of duck..  Meals are served on the lovely terrace in summer.  Only five minutes from Las Razes.  Superb lunchtime menu and great for evening meals – do ask us about opening times as these vary during the year.   Although for most of summer – you will find it unusually open on Sunday and Monday evenings – only closing for Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday.  - Booking for both lunch and dinner is advisable – some English spoken.

Lacour de Visa

Auberge de Lauzinie  Phone : 05.63.95.23.31 (we recommend) (about 7km from Las Razes)

Mr and Mrs Daumerie will give you a warm welcome in their inn where you can eat : excellent steaks (duck, lamb or beef) grilled in the fireplace.   Very simple and rustic – this Auberge is situated at the Riding Centre in Lacour.  We like this place for simple food – and would recommend the ‘magret de canard’ served with frites, a side salad and the house rose or red – followed by coffee – anyone would think we did this regularly!!

Villneuve-sur-Lot,

There are a number of restaurants, it is simply a case of wandering around and seeing what takes your fancy.

Moissac,

L’Auberge du Cloitre (05 63 04 37 50) – (we recommend) small restaurant close to the Abbey door.  Excellent lunchtime menu and a lovely setting for evening meals – please book.  There are many restaurants on the street up to the Abbey – it is worth checking them out to find something you fancy.  Back in the main square there is a large bar/restaurant called Au Bureau – this is the nearest thing you will find to a Pub in the area.  It is useful in that it offers more ‘pub like’ food (with a French twist) and because it is open every day.

Cahors, Agen  etc..

There are many different places to eat – catering for all tastes – so it is worth having a look around and checking the menu boards.

Castelsarrasin

Again there are a number of options here – but for a snack, coffee, glass of wine – I like Café Chaud which sits on a corner of the main square.

We would love to hear from you about places you have eaten and enjoyed.  Or where you have been disappointed - we cannot  (sadly) eat out every day of the week so it is impossible to constantly assess what is available!
