Walking Holidays in France

For those wanting to walk not as part of a group we happily help you plan your own
walking holiday - help with planning routes and checking that you arrive back in one piece!
If you like walking with like-minded people and would like the chance to explore new areas
and see some beautiful French countryside; with long lunches in country auberges or pic-nics, then one of
our walking weeks might just suit you..
This week is designed to people doing some regular walking, we like to keep everything relaxed but
a reasonable level of fitness would be prudent. Distances will vary but it is likely that they will be around 6-8
km per half-days walking.
The week involves a varied choice of walks, some taking all day with a stop for lunch at a restaurant,
or to be met on route with a pic-nic. Some days we will leave Las Razes on foot, other days we may go a little further
afield to start walking. When we are walking all day there will be the option to return at lunchtime if you do
not feel like continuing.
Evenings will allow us to get together and chat, enjoying a few glasses of wine, with evening meals
at Las Razes or at one of the many lovely local restaurants.
We want your week to be about getting to know this lovely area on foot and you
will be accompanied on at least four and a half days walking, This means that there will be some time for relaxing,
exploring, reading and just enjoying the peace of your surroundings. To see a typical itinerary please click here.
Non-walking partners are welcome and are free to relax around Las Razes or make use of other local
activities - for instance painting, golf, visiting the local medieval villages and towns or perhaps even cycling.
We recommend that you hire a car for the duration of this holiday, this will allow you the freedom
to explore local villages and restaurants in the evenings. Anyone who does not wish to hire a car should contact us
for revised costs to include transfers from airports and train stations.
We have tried to make the week as inclusively priced as possible. The seven night stay is priced,
per person and includes accommodation, breakfast, 5 x lunches (both at Las Razes and whilst eating out), 3 evening meals
(at Las Razes). Someone to walk with you and maps.
We know that many people want to come on their own for a week like this, you will find that the atmosphere
at Las Razes is always welcoming and makes an ideal venue for people travelling on their own. We have tried to keep
the costs as low as possible for people chosing to travel on their own. The other possibility we offer is to pair up
(same sexed people) in twin rooms if that proves possible.
