Wine tasting

We are pleased to be able to help our visitors arrange guided tour of some of the local vineyards, including the fine vineyards of Cahors.  Pete (your guide) has lived amongst these vineyards for many years and is able to ensure you make the most out of your trip. 
 
To avoid any problems and to make sure you make the most of the wine tasting, you will be driven driven during your trip.

Wine tasting tours can be arranged for either a full or a half day.  During the whole day trip you will be taken for lunch to a local restaurant - the most likely being the 'Restaurant de la Terrasse' at Grezels, itself right in the middle of wine growing territory.

With a growing number of vineyards producing organic wines it is possible for you to arrange to tailor your trip to include entirely organic vineyards or perhaps a mixture of organic and traditional.

We will then (on your behalf) check availability on existing tours or ask Pete about a tour based around your interests.  We will then let you know about possible dates and all costs.
 
These wine tasting tours have proved extremely popular with guests and we have no hesitation in suggesting this as a valuable addition to your holiday.
 
The current costs for these tours is  as follows
Half Day   2pm - 6pm - a chance to have the company of a local guide who will take you around  some of the Cahors and other local vineyards.  You will be driven - so you can try.
1-3 people - total cost 120 Euros
4-6 people - total cost 160 Euros
 
Full Day 10am (approx) - 6pm and including lunch at a local restaurant such as La Terrace in the lovely old village of Grezels. 
1-3 people - total cost 170 Euros (plus 20 Euros per person for lunch)
4-6 people - total cost 210 Euros (plus 20 Euros per person for lunch)
 
 

Many people have enjoyed the local wines whilst staying at Las Razes but have not been able to take many supplies back to the UK with them.  We are hoping that soon www.thevinmanlimited.co.uk will be stocking some of the wine local to this area.

So for that 'touch of France' once you are back in the UK and to get hold of the wines that the supermarkets simply will not be stocking, keep an eye on their website.
